A little about me!
Hi there! My name is Isabelle Awald, but I typically go by Izzy. My pronouns are she/her/hers, and I am a performer and all around creative human being. I grew up in a very small town in Indiana called Hamlet (which must be the reason for my love of Shakespeare). I began performing at the young age of four through dance competitions. As I got older my love for dance grew and I expanded into modern, contemporary, and musical theatre dance. When I got my first taste of what it was like to perform fully through musical theatre dance, I found a new love in acting. I began taking acting lessons and singing lessons throughout elementary and middle school while also performing at my local theatre, Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
When I got into high school, I continued to nurture this love for performing by participating in the all-female show choir as a member and as dance captain, as well as performing in as many theatre productions put on by my school as possible.
Upon graduating high school, I packed up everything and moved out to Rochester, NY to earn my BFA in Musical Theatre with a minor in Dance from Nazareth University. On top of my love for theatre and performing, attending college has also allowed me to explore the creative side of things through costuming and choreography. I have choreographed many a dance in my time from solos to duets to groups of all sizes and several of them have been performed in collegiate showcases and dance concerts.
Beyond the performing arts, I am also an avid reader and have dabbled in writing. As a romantic who loves a happy ending, I hope to use my performing abilities to bring joy to everyone around me. Thank you for scoping out my site! Please get comfy and stay a while. The show has just begun.
